Throwback Thursday: 1979 World Weightlifting Championships in Thessaloniki, Greece

Another great pictorial review of these Worlds in S&H Magazine. These are three very impressive superheavyweights at that Worlds. Rachmanov was one of my favorites – huge calve and forearms in particular (but, heck, everything on him was huge!) He is the guy who I saw pinch grip a 25kg plate to put it on the squat rack!!
